Verifing Under Prop 300
All students receiving in-state tuition or financial aid that is funded or subsidized by the state are required to verify their U.S. citizenship or permanent residence,
or lawful immigration status under Arizona's Proposition 300. Documentation of lawful presence must be completed prior to tuition calculation and disbursement of the financial
aid or you
will be charged out of state tuition - roughly $11,000.00 more than resident tuition.
Also, if you do not verify, you will not continue to receive any state sponsored financial aid.
Arizona and most other states verify lawful presence before issuing a driver's license or non-driving state ID which satisfies Propostion 300.
Other acceptable forms of documentation include:
- Birth Cerificate showing birth in a U.S. state, territory or possession
- U.S. Passport
- U.S. Naturalization Certificate
- U.S. Permanent Resident Card
- Foreign Passport with U.S. visa and current status
